Thomas Hoof
Thomas Hoof (* 1948 in Olfen ) is a German entrepreneur and publisher .
Life
Hoof learned the trade of bookseller and was regional manager of the North Rhine-Westphalian Greens .
In 1988 he founded the department and mail order company Manufactum Hoof & Partner KG , and in 1993 the affiliated publishing house Manuscriptum Verlagsbuchhandlung .
In 2008 Hoof sold all of his shares in Manufactum to the mail order company Heine , a subsidiary of the Otto Group .
The publishing house Manuscriptum , originally founded as a companion to Manufactum and which among other things published reprints of merchandise-related books, remained in Hoof's possession. His program was shaped more and more by right-wing conservative and new-right content, including works by Frank Böckelmann , Björn Höcke , Hans-Hermann Hoppe , Alexander Gauland , Richard Heinberg , Michael Klonovsky , Bernhard Lassahn , Andreas Lombard and Akif Pirinçci and die German translation of the book The Servile Mind ("The democratic slave mentality") by the political philosopher Kenneth Minogue .
Hoof also owned a company that manufactures porcelain lights and ceramic switches, which are also available from Manufactum .
