Maor Bar Buzaglo (born January 14, 1988 in Israel ) is an Israeli football player who is under contract with Maccabi Haifa .
Club career
The striker , considered one of Israel's greatest talents, comes from the youth of Maccabi Haifa . In 2007 he was awarded to FC Bnei Sachnin to get match practice there. In 2007, Buzaglo was named Player of the Tournament at the Milk Cup . Many clubs such as Spartak Moscow , West Ham United , Paris Saint-Germain , VfL Bochum , 1. FC Nürnberg , Dinamo Zagreb and FC Reading have already expressed their interest in the talented striker. However, he decided to stay with FC Bnei Sachnin until summer 2008.
Maccabi Haifa
At the age of 18, Buzaglo received his first professional contract with Maccabi Haifa. Previously, the accomplished midfielder was trained in the youth academy of Olympique Lyon . To collect match practice, the club loaned the playmaker for the 2006-2007 season to Hapoel Petach Tikwa and a year later to Bnei Sachnin .
Hapoel Petach Tikwa
For Hapoel Petach Tikwa, the player completed 21 league games and scored 5 goals. In addition, Buzaglo was also used for the youth team of Hapoel Petach Tikwa, where he scored three goals in two games.
Bnei Sachnin
Buzaglo became a fixture at the Arab club from Sachnin. He played all league games and scored 9 goals. Because of his strong performances this season, the big clubs noticed him.
Maccabi Tel Aviv
Buzaglo played three very successful years for Maccabi Tel Aviv. After an argument between Buzaglo's father and the owner of the club, Mitchell Goldhar, the contract with the player was unilaterally terminated by the club.
Standard Liege
In August 2011, Buzaglo signed a two-year contract with the top Belgian club. His annual salary is rumored to be EUR 400,000 per year. Buzaglo played for 1.5 years at Standard Liège, but had little opportunity to play due to many injuries. Despite good performances in his last games, the midfielder did not get a chance, which is why the player (together with his father and agent Ya'akov) was looking for a new club. Despite offers from two clubs from the French Ligue 1, it was decided to move to Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva
After two unfortunate seasons in Belgium, Buzaglo returned to Israel. On July 1, 2013, he signed a one-year contract, with an option for two more years, which the club also moved from Be'er Sheva . With Hapoel he won the Israeli championship two times in a row. Buzaglo scored important goals in the 2016-2017 Europa League against Inter Milan and Southampton FC . The latter enabled the club to move into the round of 32, in which they ultimately failed at Besiktas Istanbul .
Maccabi Haifa
On August 23, 2017, Buzaglo signed a three-year contract with Maccabi Haifa guaranteeing him a base salary of USD 500,000 per year. Maccabi Tel Aviv had previously expressed an interest in Buzaglo, but the player then decided on Maccabi Haifa. At the beginning of the season, however, he tore a cruciate ligament and only played five games at Maccabi Haifa .
Beitar Jerusalem
On August 21, 2018, after his contract with Maccabi Haifa was terminated, Buzaglo moved to league rivals Beitar Jerusalem , where he became a regular and made 24 games and five goals.
Hapoel Tel Aviv
After a year in Jerusalem, Buzaglo signed with Hapoel Tel Aviv . Here, too, he quickly became a regular.
National team career
