María Clara Alonso (born February 2, 1990 in Rosario , Argentina ) is an Argentine actress , singer , presenter , dancer .

Life

María Clara Alonso was born on February 2, 1990 as the daughter of a pediatrician and an engineer in Rosario , the third largest city in Argentina . She grew up with her two younger brothers Agustín and Ignacio. At the age of two, she and her family moved to Capitán Bermúdez, a small town outside of Rosario. In addition to gymnastics, swimming and dancing, she also practiced field hockey and volleyball there. She attended primary school in Cayetano Errico in Capitán Bermúdez. When Alonso was eight, the family eventually moved to Buenos Aires . There she later went to high school, the Instituto de Inmaculada Castelar . It was in high school that she discovered her talent for acting and asked her parents to train her in these subjects. She then appeared in some plays such as Alice in Wonderland .

At 19, she moved from Castelar to Belgrano , Buenos Aires, a neighborhood in the northern part of the city, to pursue her acting career. She speaks English very well and was taught Italian by her friend Lodovica Comello in order to be able to work in Italy.

Career

After graduating from high school, Alonso decided to turn her passion for acting into a profession. She took part in the casting show High School Musical: La Selección in 2007 , but was kicked out after the tenth week. However, she was later resumed for a concert tour across Argentina. This gave her her first acting role as Clari in Viva High School Musical , the Argentine version of High School Musical . During a tour stop in La Rioja , she caught the attention of the Latin American Disney Channel producers. She was hired to host the entertainment show Zapping Zone . Alonso hosted the show from 2007 to 2011 alongside Daniel Martins and Carolina Ibarra. In 2008 she took part in the Disney Channel Games and finished third with her team.

She also signed a recording contract with Walt Disney Records and released her first own single A mi alrededor in October 2008 . In 2010 she took on one of the leading roles in the mini-series Highway: Rodando la aventura . That same year she shot for the sitcom Cuando toca la campana , based on As the Bell Rings . The episodes with her were broadcast in 2011.

Alonso has been involved in the Disney Channel - Telenovela Violetta since 2012, which has made him famous in many countries. She plays the role of Angeles "Angie" Carrará , the aunt of the eponymous main character. After 145 episodes, she dropped out in 2013, but announced her return to the series in March 2014. From September 2014 to February 2015 she was seen again in the telenovela. In April of the same year she shot the cooking show Angie e le ricette di Violetta in Italy , which is a spin-off of Violetta. This is Alonso's first Italian-language show, which has been shown in Italy since June 2014. In 2015, Alonso took part in the Italian dance show Notti Sul Ghiaccio (Night on Ice) and successfully took third place with her dance partner Marco Garavaglia. Since 2015, Alonso has worked alongside the Italian Actor Mirko Trovato in the Italian web series Lontana Da Me , in which she plays one of the main roles (Valeria). She also shot the film Jazmín De Invierno in Argentina (alongside her film colleague from Violetta, Ezequiel Rodríguez ) , in which she also played the lead role (Carolina). With her partner Diego Domínguez , whom she met on the set of Violetta, she won the Italian dance show Dance Dance Dance .
