María Valverde Rodríguez (born March 24, 1987 in Madrid ) is a Spanish actress.

In 2003 she made her debut at the age of 16 with the film The Stranger in the Park . In 2004 she received the Goya for best young actress for her leading role alongside Luis Tosar . She subsequently played the leading role in Melissa P. (2005), Lucrezia Borgia in Die Borgias (2006), alongside Juan José Ballesta in Diebe (2007) and alongside Leonardo Sbaraglia in King of the Hill (2007) by Gonzalo López-Gallego. In Ridley Scott's Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014), she portrayed the wife of Moses , Zippora .

María Valverde was in a relationship with the Spanish actor Mario Casas from 2010 to 2014 , who played the male lead next to her in Three Meters Above the Sky . At the beginning of 2017 she married the conductor Gustavo Dudamel .
