Marcantonio Vincentini

Marcantonio Vincentini or Vicentini (born June 3, 1624 in Rieti , † 1692 ) was an Italian Catholic bishop and diplomat . His first name is sometimes given as Marco Antonio.

biography

He was born on June 3, 1624 in Rieti as a member of the Vincentini family. From 1651 to 1652 he was vice delegate of Bologna . After that, his appointment was made the governor of various cities and provinces of the Papal States : ( Norcia e Montagna , Camerino , Campagna e Marittima , Viterbo , Frosinone , Perugia , brands ). After the ordination on September 30, 1668 he was on April 1, 1669 by Pope Clement IX. appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Foligno . It was consecrated by Cardinal Francesco Maria Brancaccio , Bishop of Frascati . Stefano Brancaccio , titular Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Adrianopoli di Emimonto , and Emanuele Brancaccio , OSB, Bishop of the Diocese of Ariano , acted as co- consecrators . On January 26, 1671 he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio in the Kingdom of Naples . He held this office until 1682. On April 24, 1684 he resigned as Bishop of Foligno.

Marcantonio Vincentini died in 1692. The exact date and place of death are unknown.
