Marcela Pavkovčeková (born April 21, 1977 in Liptovský Mikuláš ) is a former Slovak biathlete .

Marcela Pavkovčeková, the sports teacher from Liptovský Hrádok starting for KB Osrblie , has been running biathlon since 1995. She made her World Cup debut at the age of 19 in Hochfilzen , finishing 74th in an individual. She achieved her first outstanding result with Martina Halinárová , Anna Murínová and Soňa Mihoková as fourth in the team at the 1997 Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie . At the subsequent Junior World Championships in Forni Avoltri , she won the silver medal behind the Ukrainian Tetjana Rud . She achieved her next good result in 1998 at the summer biathlon world championships that were again held in Osrblie . In the sprint, she finished seventh here. Her homeland Osrblie remained a good place for the Slovenian, in 1998 she won her first World Cup point here as 25th in the pursuit. At the European Championships in Zakopane she won relay gold with Halinárová, Mihokova and Murinova. In the World Cup, these four often achieved good results with the relay.

In 2002 Pavkovčeková took part in the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City . After a 33rd place in the individual, she achieved her best result in a major event as fifth. It was not until 2005 that Pavkovčeková managed to finish eighth in the top ten for the first time in an individual in Hochfilzen . This season, as a highlight, it took part in the Winter Olympics for the second time . In Turin she finished 22nd in the individual and 29th in the sprint. In the pursuit, like 13 other starters, she was lapped by the terrific Kati Wilhelm and thus taken out of the race. The season, which had now passed its zenith, came in tenth place in its long-term line-up.
