The Marcha ( Russian Марха ) is a 346 km long left tributary of the Lena in Siberia ( Russia , Asia ). It is not to be confused with the same name, and much longer, north-flowing and in the Lena Creek Vilyuy River opens Marcha .
course
The Marcha flows from Lake Tuossurdjan at a height of 328 m on the Lena Plateau northwest of the village of Tuobuja . In the upper reaches it flows through five other small lakes ( Oimogos , Tuobuja , Emperjatschtschi , Menjaji , Ljuksjugjun ). In its further course in a predominantly southerly direction, the river cuts deeper and deeper into the surrounding plateau - from the middle reaches over 200 meters with widely steep and rocky banks. It meanders strongly in sections, initially in narrow, later in wide arches and finally flows into the Lena at the village of Marcha at a height of 112 m . Near the mouth, the Marcha is about 30 meters wide, one meter deep, and the flow velocity is 1.0 m / s. In its entire course, the Marcha flows on the territory of the autonomous Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) .
Hydrography
The catchment area of the Marcha covers 8910 km². The most important tributary is the Namyldschylach from the right .
The Marcha freezes between October and May; This is followed by spring floods that last until June during the snowmelt. The mean monthly water flow near the mouth is 20.8 m³ / s (maximum in May with 135 m³ / s).
Infrastructure
The Marcha is not navigable.
In addition to the villages of Tuobuja in the source and Marcha near the mouth of the river, there are only a few small towns along the river and practically no infrastructure. There are no bridges over the river.
