Marco Fortin (born July 8, 1974 in Noale , Province of Venice ) is an Italian football goalkeeper .

Career

Marco Fortin began his career as a goalkeeper in the youth department of Inter Milan . For the 1994-95 season , he was first in the senior squad the Nerazzurri called, but never in the Serie A used. For the following season Fortin was awarded to the third division club AC Pro Sesto , where he was used in 16 games of the C1 series . In January 1997 an engagement with fourth division side Sassari Torres followed in 1903 . There the goalkeeper held a regular position, but was given up to Giorgione Calcio in the same year. After Fortin had spent two years there in the C2 series as number one, he was poached by the second division club FBC Treviso , who took him under contract. In the seasons 1999/2000 and 2000/01 he came as the second goalkeeper to 23 events in the series B .

Then Treviso rose to the third division and Fortin made the leap into the regular formation. The direct return to Serie B, however, was missed, they failed in the playoffs against AS Lucchese Libertas . Fortin was allowed to compete in the second-highest division for the 2002/03 season after signing a contract with AC Siena . As a regular goalkeeper, he immediately made promotion to Serie A with the Tuscans. In the next three years he was regularly used as the second goalkeeper and held himself in the top division with AC Siena. For the 2006/07 season he signed a contract with league rivals Cagliari Calcio . Fortin could not prevail against the seeded goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti , but came to some appearances in Serie A. In January 2008, he decided to continue his career at Vicenza Calcio . After about two and a half years as a regular goalkeeper, he did not extend his contract in Vicenza and signed a contract with the Cypriot first division club AEK Larnaka for the 2010/11 season . There he played 16 games by 2012. After two years without a club, Fortin moved to his hometown in July 2014 for FC Calvi Noale , who plays in the Italian fourth division .
