Marcus Livius Drusus Claudianus († 42 BC at Philippi ) was a senator of the late Roman Republic .

He came from the gens Claudia , probably the branch of the Claudii Pulchri, and was adopted by a Livius, probably the younger Marcus Livius Drusus . Drusus Claudianus was married to an Alfidia, daughter of a Marcus Alfidius from the Italian city of Fundi , with whom he had a daughter, Livia Drusilla , who became Augustus' wife .

In the year 50 BC Drusus Claudianus headed a court of law; it is unclear whether he was a appointed judge or praetor . In the spring of 45 BC He was in Rome, where Cicero considered buying gardens from him. 43 BC He was proscribed by the triumvirs and fled to the Caesar killers in Greece. After the defeat in the Battle of Philippi in 42 BC. He took his own life instead of surrendering.

As the grandfather and great-grandfather of the emperors Tiberius and Claudius , Drusus Claudianus was honored with statues in the early imperial period.
