Marcus Wallgren (born May 14, 1974 ) is a former Swedish handball player .
The 1.76 m tall left winger began his professional career in 1992 at IFK Skövde HK . Internationally, he reached the round of 16 in the EHF Cup in 1993/94 and 1994/95, the semifinals in the Euro City Cup in 1995/96, the quarterfinals in 1996/97 and the final in 1997/98. There he was subject to the TuS Nettelstedt . In the 1998/99 European Cup Winners' Cup he made it to the third round. For the 2000/01 season he moved to TSV Bayer Dormagen in the German handball Bundesliga , where he was nominated for the 2001 HBL All-Star Game due to his good performance . After three seasons he signed with IFK Malmö . After just one season, he returned to his hometown club, with which he won the league round in 2005. In the EHF-Pokal 2004/05 he reached the quarter-finals and 2005/06 the last sixteen. In 2006 he went to Olympic / Viking Helsingborg HK , where he ended his career in 2008.
Wallgren made his debut in the Swedish national team in 1994 and played 32 international matches until 2002 , in which he scored 24 goals. At the European Championship in 1998 he was European champion by defeating Spain.
