Marek Ulrich (born January 12, 1997 in Dessau-Roßlau ) is a German swimming athlete . In 2017 he was German champion over 50 m and 100 m back and bronze medalist over 200 m back.

Career

Ulrich has been swimming since 2004, has lived in Halle (Saale) since 2008 and trains there with Frank Embacher and Marian Bobe at the Olympic base.

At the beginning of February 2018, Marek Ulrich surprisingly ended his swimming career. Afterwards he worked for the correctional facility in Hamm (Westphalia) and lived in Hamm (Westphalia).

His brother Hendrik ended his swimming career at the beginning of the 2015/2016 season and now lives in Leipzig.

At the end of September 2019, Marek Ulrich announced his comeback at SSG Leipzig and is now training again with his former trainer Frank Embacher. He currently lives in Leipzig.
