Marga Hubinek

Marga Hubinek (born May 20, 1926 in Vienna ; † September 3, 2016 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

After graduating from high school in 1944, Marga Hubinek studied German and history at the University of Vienna . Her doctorate took place in 1949. From 1952 she was the chief civil servant of the Fund of the Vienna Merchants' Association .

She was involved in the Austrian women's movement , in the Austrian Academic Association and in the Austrian Workers' Association . From 1959 to 1970 she was a member of the Vienna City Council and a member of the Vienna State Parliament .

Hubinek was a member of the National Council from 1970 to 1990 . From 1986 to 1990 she was Second President of the National Council .
