Margaret Chelimo Kipkemboi (born February 9, 1993 in Nandi County ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in the 5000-meter run .
Athletic career
Margaret Kipkemboi gained her first international experience at the 2009 World Youth Championships in Bressanone , where she was eliminated in the first round of the 800-meter run with 2: 15.01 minutes. At the 2015 World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang , she finished 13th in 27:32 minutes. They also won in 15: 30.15 minutes at the Africa Games in Brazzaville in 5000 Meters . The following year she won the silver medal behind her compatriot Sheila Chepkirui at the African Championships in Durban in 15: 07.56 minutes . In 2017 she took part in the World Championships in London , where she finished fifth in the final with 14: 48.74 minutes . The following year she won the silver medal behind her compatriot Hellen Obiri at the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast in 15: 15.08 minutes .
