Margaret Wangari Muriuki
Margaret Wangari Muriuki (born March 21, 1986 in Subukia , Nakuru District ) is a Kenyan middle and long distance runner .
Life
In 2007 she was third in the Kenyan Championship over 1500 meters and seventh at the 2007 Pan-African Games in Algiers.
In 2008 she finished eighth at the World Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh and won silver with the Kenyan team. Two years later at the World Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh she was sixth and won gold with the team. In the summer she won the 10 km du Conseil General.
Margaret Wangari Muriuki is 1.65 m tall and weighs 45 kg. She first attended Lari Primary School and then Kagondo Secondary School, which she had to leave in 2006 because her family could no longer afford the school fees. She then worked on her family's farm until she was recruited by the Kenyan police in 2007.
