Margret Hölle (born April 2, 1927 in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz ) is a German poet and narrator .

Life

Margret Hölle was born as Margarete Strüßl in Neumarkt. After completing a commercial apprenticeship, she worked as an actress in a touring theater, later as a speaker for the Bavarian radio . In 1949 she married the painter and graphic artist Erich Hölle (1925–1993). With her poems, which have been published in magazines and anthologies since 1956, she introduced the dialect of the Upper Palatinate Jura into Bavarian literature. She has also read many of her texts on radio and television. She was appointed to the Munich tower scribe in 2004.

Margret Hölle lives in Munich. In her hometown of Neumarkt, she was committed to founding the Lothar Fischer Museum, which opened in 2004 .
