Mari Klaup-McColl (* 27. February 1990 in Tartu , Estonian SSR , USSR as Mari Klaup ) is an Estonian heptathlete .

Athletic career

Mari Klaup-McColl gained her first international experience in 2007 when she finished 17th at the Youth World Championships in Ostrava with 4677 points. Two years later she reached 13th place at the Junior European Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia with 5084 points and in 2011 she was eleventh at the U23 European Championships in Ostrava with 5445 points. In 2013 she took part in the Summer Universiade in Kazan , where she finished sixth with 5837 points and also qualified for the World Championships in Moscow , where she came in 21st with 5924 points. The following year she took part in the European Championships in Zurich , where she finished 19th with 5765 points. In 2016 she took part again in the European Championships in Amsterdam , but could not finish her competition there, as was the case at the European Championships in Berlin in 2018 .

In 2012, 2015 and 2016 she became the Estonian heptathlon champion.
