Marija Witaljewna Komarewzewa ( Russian Мария Витальевна Комаревцева ; born July 17, 1993 ) is a Russian natural track tobogganist . She has been competing in the World Cup since the 2010/2011 season .

Career

Marija Komarewzewa had her first international appearance at the Junior World Championships 2010 in Deutschnofen . There she immediately reached fifth place. At the beginning of the 2010/2011 season , she took part in three World Cup races for the first time . They finished second in the two races of Novouralsk as each penultimate seventh place, scoring in Gsies under 16's women twelfth. She finished 13th in the overall World Cup. She was registered for the 2011 European Junior Championships in Laas , but she did not take part.

In the 2011/2012 season Komarewzewa took part in three of the six World Cup races, as in the previous year. She was 10th in the opening race in Latzfons and 14th in Olang and Umhausen , which put her in 16th place in the overall World Cup. At the 2012 European Championships in Novouralsk, her first title fight in the general class, Komarewzewa reached tenth place. At the Junior World Championships 2012 held two weeks before in Latsch , she was not included in the ranking because she did not start in the third of the three races.
