Bryce Lampman (born August 31, 1982 in Rochester , Minnesota ) is a retired American ice hockey player . His brother Josh was also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Bryce Lampman began his career as a hockey player in the North American junior league United States Hockey League , in which he was active from 1998 to 2001 for the Rochester Mustangs and the Omaha Lancers. With the latter he won the Clark Cup in the 2000/01 season . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2001 in the fourth round as a total of 113th player by the New York Rangers . First, however, he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha , for whose ice hockey team he took part in the game operations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association . In the summer of 2002, the defender decided to leave the university early and joined the Kamloops Blazers from the Canadian Junior Western Hockey League . There he was able to convince with one goal and 17 assists in 29 games, so that he received a contract with Hartford Wolf Pack , the farm team of his draft team New York Rangers, during the 2002/03 season , for which he was in the American Hockey League until the end of the season provided seven templates in a total of 47 games. In the following years he became an integral part of the Wolf Pack in the AHL, while he was occasionally used for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League . Spread over three different seasons, he played ten NHL games for the Rangers.

On July 4, 2007 Lampman was given by the New York Rangers in exchange for Mitch Fritz to the Tampa Bay Lightning . For their AHL farm team Norfolk Admirals , he completed 16 games at the beginning of the 2007/08 season , in which he scored three goals and three assists. On November 29, 2007 he was transferred to the Dallas Stars for Mario Scalzo , where he was also used exclusively in their AHL farm team Iowa Stars until the end of the season . The 2008/09 season spent Lampman with Amur Khabarovsk in the newly formed Continental Hockey League . Due to numerous injuries, he was only in nine games in the KHL for the Russians on the ice, in which he remained pointless and received four penalty minutes. On July 29, 2009, the left shooter signed a contract as a free agent with the St. Louis Blues , for whose AHL farm team Peoria Rivermen he scored seven goals and 13 assists in 54 games in the 2009/10 season . After he was previously without a contract, the former junior international moved to the Houston Eros in November 2010 , for which he only played five games in the AHL before he signed a contract with the Eros for the rest of the 2010/11 season was signed by ERC Ingolstadt from the German Ice Hockey League . For the 2011/12 season he moved to league rivals Hannover Scorpions . Lampman played 52 games for Lower Saxony, in which he provided 14 templates. Since his contract in Hanover was not renewed, the defender returned to North America. There he joined the Orlando Solar Bears from the ECHL . After 21 games in Florida, in which Lampman scored three goals and nine assists, he received a trial contract with the Portland Pirates from the AHL in January 2013 . However, this contract was terminated after eight games. The defender then accepted an offer from Europe again and signed a contract with the NLA club SCL Tigers in Switzerland until the end of the season . With the Langnauers he rose to the National League B after losing league qualification against Lausanne HC .

International

For the USA Lampman took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2002 , in which he finished fifth with his team. In the course of the tournament he remained pointless in seven games and received eight penalty minutes.
