Maria Larsson (born February 18, 1979 in Haninge , Sweden ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player who played at club level for AIK Solna and Mälarhöjden / Bredäng Hockey . With the Swedish national team , she won the bronze medal at the Olympic Winter Games in 2002 .
Career
Maria Larrson started her career at Västerhaninge IF. In 1998 she moved to Mälarhöjden / Bredäng Hockey , with whom she became Swedish champion in 1999 . After this success she moved to the capital club AIK Ishockey , for which she was active until 2001, then she returned to her home club. Between 2003 and 2006 she was again active for Mälarhöjden / Bredäng and won two more Swedish championships.
In the 2010/11 season Larsson was assistant coach of the first team of Segeltorps IF and won the national championships with the team in 2011. In the 2011/12 season she was the coach of the U18 team of Eastern Sweden.

In 1998 Larsson made his debut for the Swedish women's national team and subsequently took part in the 1999 , 2001 and 2004 World Championships . At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , she won the bronze medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament . Overall, Larsson completed 106 caps for Sweden between 1998 and 2006.
