Mariana Borelli (born October 30, 1992 ) is an Argentine athlete who competes in the middle-distance run .

Athletic career

Mariana Borelli gained her first international experience in 2011 at the South American Championships in Buenos Aires , where she took eighth place in the 800-meter run in 2: 09.59 min, as well as at the subsequent Pan American Junior Championships in Miramar in 2:17, 28 min. Then she won the bronze medal with the Argentine 4 x 400 meter relay at the Junior South American Championships in Medellín in 3: 56.53 min and was fifth over 800 meters in 2: 13.39 min. The following year she won the bronze medal with the relay at the U23 South American Championships in São Paulo in 3: 58.86 min and came fourth in the individual competition in 2: 09.44 min. In 2013, she reached fifth place over 800 meters at the South American Championships in Cartagena in 2: 08.96 minutes and finished eleventh in the 1500 meter run in 4: 38.30 minutes. In 2018 she again took part in the South American Games in Cochabamba , where she finished sixth in 2: 17.89 minutes. Then she won the bronze medal over 1500 meters at the Ibero-American Championships in Trujillo in 4: 20.74 minutes behind the Spaniard Solange Pereira and María Pía Fernández from Uruguay. In addition, she was fourth over 800 meters in 2: 08.63 minutes.
