Life
Mariano Moreno García joined the Congregation of the Augustinian on July 27th, 1958 at and put the profession on July 27 1961st The Archbishop of Oviedo , Vicente Enrique y Tarancón , ordained him a priest on July 9, 1964 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him prelate of Cafayate on November 17, 2007. He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Argentina , Adriano Bernardini , on March 9, 2008; Co- consecrators were Mario Antonio Cargnello , Archbishop of Salta , and Cipriano García Fernández OSA, Prelate Emeritus of Cafayate.
Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on February 10, 2014.
