Career

Marie-Louise Eta began her football career at the age of six at FV Dresden 06 . At the age of eleven she moved to the 1. FFC Fortuna Dresden-Rähnitz , with whom she became, among other things, district champion and district cup winner of the D-Juniors as well as third place in the world final of the "Fox Kids Cup" 2003 in Rotterdam. Since the fifth grade she attended the sports high school in Dresden . Due to her outstanding talent, she switched to 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam in January 2005 at the age of 13 and has since attended the sports school in Potsdam . In June 2005 , although she was still C-Junior herself, she became German Champion with the B-Juniors of the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. In 2006 (where she achieved the 2-0) and 2008 (here she prepared the 2-0) she was again German champion with the B-Juniors of the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. For the 2008/09 season, she made promotion to the first team after she had already been part of the second team's squad in the 2007/08 season. On the second match day (September 14, 2008) she played for the first time in the starting line-up over 90 minutes and was also in the regular formation in the following five matches. On January 24, 2009 she and her team won the DFB Indoor Cup . On March 15, 2009 (15th matchday) she scored her first Bundesliga goal in front of 744 spectators in the local Karl-Liebknecht-Stadion in the 3-1 win against Hamburger SV with the goal of the interim 1-0 in the 58th minute. Eta has had many successes with Potsdam: She won the Champions League in 2010, the German championship in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and the DFB Indoor Cup in 2009 and 2010.

On July 1, 2011, she moved to Hamburger SV , where she was initially supposed to play in the first team for two years. After HSV withdrew from the women's Bundesliga, Eta joined the second division club BV Cloppenburg on June 13, 2012 . This rose as the season winner North 2013 in the Bundesliga . Eta also made his debut for BV Cloppenburg on September 8, 2013 (1st matchday) in a 3: 3 draw in the away game against SGS Essen . As penultimate in the table, Cloppenburg was relegated from the Bundesliga after just one season, whereupon Eta left the club and announced her move to second division Werder Bremen in July 2014 . She ended her active career at the end of the 2017/18 season.

International

In September and November 2005 Eta took part in DFB screening courses, from which both the U-15 squad and parts of the U-17 squad are still being appointed. At the international level, she won the European Championship with the U-17 national team . With the explanation from UEFA: "She worked tirelessly in front of the defense, but she still found time to get involved in the attacking game", she was appointed to the "UEFA All-Star Team" after the tournament.

She was also appointed to the squad for the U-17 World Cup in New Zealand in 2008 by coach Ralf Peter . On November 16, 2008, she won the bronze medal with the U-17 national team by beating England 3-0 at the first-ever U-17 World Cup in New Zealand. With the German U-19 national team , she took part in the European Championship in May 2010 and reached the semi-finals. Shortly thereafter, she was part of the German squad for the U-20 World Cup in her own country, where she played in the preliminary round and won the world championship title with the team.
