Marie Krafft
Marie Krafft (born January 23, 1812 in Vienna , † July 7, 1885 in Villach , Carinthia ) was an Austrian painter .
At the age of four she started drawing with her father, the painter Johann Peter Krafft . From the age of twelve she received lessons in watercolor portraits and oil painting. Thomas Ender taught her in landscape watercolor and Dewerth in lithography .
In 1836 she traveled to Venice with her father. In 1840 she married the bank clerk Franz Troll.
From 1847 she painted copies of old masters from the picture gallery mainly in watercolor . The better of her approx. 200 works, some of which are owned by the Wien Museum , come close to those of Josef Kriehuber .
