Marieluise Bernhard-von Luttitz

Marieluise Bernhard von Luttitz (born February 11, 1913 as Marieluise von Luttitz in Oschatz , Saxony , † October 10, 1997 in Brannenburg , Upper Bavaria ) was a German writer .

Life

Horst von Luttitz was her grandfather , her mother came from the Wilding von Koenigsbrück family and her brother was Horst von Luttitz. Bernhard von Luttitz attended school in Dresden . After graduation , she worked for a while on a ship on a South America line. Then studied them psychology at Berlin's Friedrich Wilhelm University . After completing this degree, she practiced as a psychotherapist . His marriage to Otto Heinrich Bernhard in 1945 resulted in two children. Marieluise Bernhard-von Luttitz worked as a lecturer for women's issues at the Bremen Adult Education Center. In 1952, after the death of her husband, she began writing literary works. She lived as a freelance writer in Prien and in Bernau am Chiemsee .

Bernhard von Luttitz wrote mainly books for children and young people , as well as columnist articles and poems . The trilogy about the boy Bumfidel , which formed the basis for short television films that were shown in the 1970s as part of Sesame Street , was particularly successful .
