The Marienpilgerweg Kärnten is a pilgrimage route in Carinthia , which connects fourteen Marienkirchen over a length of 266 kilometers and is divided into ten stages.

Emergence

The pilgrimage route was designed by Werner Lexer, who in November 2009 founded the Marienpilgerweg eV association with Marian worshipers from Carinthia . In 2010 over 500 signposts were set up along the pilgrimage route. In May 2011 the path was opened and blessed with bishop masses in St. Andrä and Maria Luggau.
