Mario Neumann (* 1988 in Fritzlar ) is a German actor .
Life
Mario Neumann grew up in Bochum and in the Sauerland . After graduating from the Märkisches Gymnasium in Iserlohn , he first began a teaching degree for Protestant theology and social sciences at the University of Siegen , before deciding to take up acting.
From 2011 to 2015 he studied acting at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg . During his studies he had his first theater engagements at the St. Pauli Theater (including in 2012, as a cutter Schürzinger in Kasimir and Karoline ), at Kampnagel (2013) and at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus , where in 2014 he played the roles of Asamat / Gruschnitzky in a stage version of Ein Held Unser Time took over.
In the 2014/15 season he appeared at the Staatstheater Braunschweig as Albert Kropp in Nicolai Sykosch's staging of the Remarque novel In the West Nothing New .
From the 2015/16 season he was a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Erlangen under Katja Ott until 2017 . There he stepped u. a. in the title role of a stage version of Goethe's epistolary novel The Sorrows of Young Werther (premiere: October 2015), as Unterleutnant Fedotik in Three Sisters (premiere: April 2016) and as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (premiere: March 2017). He was also involved in several children's, youth and family theater productions and Christmas plays.
In the 2017/18 season he made his first guest appearance at the Theater an der Ruhr . In May 2018, alongside Pablo Konrad and Sascha Tschorn , he made his debut at the Theater im Bauturm in Cologne in a stage version of the Bulgakov story Das Hundische Herz , in a production in which he will also appear again in the 2018/19 season. In the 2018/19 season he was a guest at the Theater an der Ruhr as a teacher in the Dürrenmatt play The Visit of the Old Lady .
Neumann also stood in front of the camera for several film and television productions. In the Bella Block crime thriller Bella Block: The Most Beautiful Night of Life (2015) he played a homosexual navy cadet who had a brief relationship with the first officer (played by Jan Krauter ). In November 2018 Neumann was seen in the ZDF crime series SOKO Cologne in a supporting role as an ex-boyfriend of a murdered student. In the 7th season of the ZDF series Heldt (2019) he took on one of the episode roles as "garbage diver" Tobias Brandt.
Neumann also works as a speaker for radio plays , podcasts , poetry and music programs and readings. He lives in Cologne.
