Mario Reinhard Lackner (born December 27, 1978 in Steyr ) is an Austrian writer, activist and political advisor.

Life

Lackner grew up as the son of a general practitioner and a trained hairdresser in Enns , Upper Austria . In 2010 he completed his five-year studies at the Institute for International Development at the University of Vienna with a diploma thesis on human rights in Austria's cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina . He is a qualified sex educator / consultant.

Between 2002 and 2012 he worked full-time as a sex pedagogue for the Austrian Ministry of Education, the states of Upper Austria and Lower Austria, and for the Red Cross, among others. In particular, he visited schools and youth centers as part of the Lovetour educational project . He is a member of the Austrian Society for Sexual Sciences , was involved in the founding of the Austrian network sex education in 2011 and in 2015 he was involved as an expert in sexual education in the development of the National Action Plan of the Republic of Austria on the subject of women's health.

From 2001 to 2016 Lackner was the organizer and presenter of the song contest and talent show parody Träsh Contest in Linz and Vienna, in which he also participated in 2017 and which has been organized by the Vienna Adult Education Centers since 2018.

Lackner became politically active in 2002 (as a non-party candidate for the National Council for the Liberal Forum ) and in 2013 in the Lower Austrian state election (again non-party on the “Frank” list ), with the FPÖ being ousted from the state government. He then headed the National Council election campaign for Efgani Dönmez (who received the second-most preferential vote on the Greens' list in Upper Austria) and started the environmental protection initiative Protecting our Waldviertel . In 2014, when he joined the SPÖ , he ended his personal independence from a party, in 2015 he volunteered as a moderator in the party program reform process and optimized the online PR for member of the European Parliament and Vice President of the Progressive Alliance of Social Democrats Josef Weidenholzer . In addition, Mario Lackner was part of the support committee for the election of Alexander Van der Bellen as the new Federal President of the Republic of Austria in 2016 and supported Julia Herr and Robert Laimer's national council election campaign in 2017 and 2019 .

After working as a career coach and life / social counselor at the Vocational Promotion Institute in Lower Austria from 2014 to 2015, Lackner managed a new refugee home for Volkshilfe Wien in 2016 , before moving to the Vienna Adult Education Centers in 2017, where he organized the entire course and lecture program of the VHS Landstrasse together with Doris Zametzer anchored a "thematic focus on sexuality" that is unique in adult education in the German-speaking area and in 2020 with Martin Beischl on the occasion of 70 years of the European Broadcasting Union, the lyric exhibition Poetry, 12 Points! has curated.

Lackner wrote the capitalism-critical fairy tale novel trilogy Asta in the Winter Forest (2011), Asta in the Summer Mountains (2013), Asta and the Light of the World (2014) and non-fiction books about the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). He is co-author of a book about Conchita Wurst's success at the ESC 2014, which is also dedicated to Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest . In 2015, together with the German blogger Oliver Rau , he published the largest book to date on the European song contest with Friede, Freude ,quotebringer # 60JahreSongcontest , to which a supplementary volume called How to win the ESC! appeared. Readings from his works have already taken him to many European countries, including Germany, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Austria. In 2011 he was the middle writer of the song Fire , with which Sankil Jones applied for participation in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest .

Since 2018 he has made his first public appearances under his stage name Mario Môrea and is working on his music album Scriptless Christmas .
