Mr. confirmed that the SPÖ had a credibility problem and, in the event of a lack of assertiveness, demanded the exit from the coalition with the ÖVP . In her election program she called for a democratic, Marxist and feminist orientation of the SJÖ. She called for the nationalization of all banks and key industries and named Venezuela as a model.

Julia Herr received the first major media coverage in 2015 through a YouTube video that shows how Education and Women's Minister Gabriele Heinisch-Hosek expelled Herr, who had come as a guest speaker, from the stage at the SPÖ federal party conference in March 2014.

At the 36th Ordinary Association Day of Socialist Youth Austria on March 12 and 13, 2016 in St. Pölten, she was re-elected with 82.72%.

Apartments are there for living, not for speculating. We must stop the transformation of our state towards self-service shops for millionaires. Politics must not be for sale, and elections must not be decided by donations from corporate bosses in the millions. Clear upper limits for donations and campaign budgets are needed here. "

In the end, only the rich and corporations would benefit. "
