Mario Schierano

Mario Schierano (born October 26, 1915 in Sanremo , Imperia Province , Italy , † October 28, 1990 ) was military archbishop of Italy .

Life

Mario Schierano received on 29 June 1938, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On August 28, 1971, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Achrida and Military Archbishop of Italy. The Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops , Carlo Cardinal Confalonieri , ordained him episcopal on October 9 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the substitute of the Vatican State Secretariat , Archbishop Giovanni Benelli , and the Papal Almsman , Archbishop Antonio Maria Travia .

On October 27, 1981, Pope John Paul II accepted Mario Schierano's request for resignation.
