Marion Ryan (born February 4, 1931 in Middlesbrough , Yorkshire , England , † January 15, 1999 in Boca Raton , Florida , USA ) was a British singer who was particularly successful in the late 1950s and early 1960s. She is the mother of pop singers Paul and Barry Ryan .

Ryan sang for the big band of Edmundo Ros and Ray Ellington Quartet, for Joe Meek and John Barry . Since she could not only sing but was also pretty, she was discovered for television . She became the permanent singer and host of the BBC show Spot the Tune . She recorded records for Pye Nixa Records , including Couple of Crazy Kids as a duet with Gary Miller . However, she never had greater success with her singles - with one exception: In January 1958 her Love Me Forever , recorded with the Peter Knight Orchestra, climbed to number 5 in the British charts .

Identical twins Paul and Barry come from her first marriage to Lloyd Sapherson . In 1967 she married the US show business impresario Harold Davidson. She then ended her singing career, which at that time had already passed its zenith.
