Marius Marcel Constantin (born October 25, 1984 in Braşov , Braşov County ) is a Romanian football player on the position of central defender . He has been under contract with ASA Târgu Mureș since summer 2014 .

Career

Constantin began his career at Postăvarul Brașov, as well as at Amco Ghimbav and FC Ghimbav 2000, where he was active in the youth team. In 2002 he made the jump from the youth department of FC Brașov to the first team. Already in the first season the fourth place in the highest Romanian league could be achieved. In his last season with FC he was eleventh with the club.

Then came the move to Bucharest to Rapid Bucharest . Third place was achieved in the first season. In 2005/06 a runner-up title and the cup victory were celebrated, which could be repeated in the next year (2007). He also made his European debut in the 2005/06 season. Constantin played through in the game against Andorra's UE Sant Julià in the first round of the UEFA Cup qualification. The game ended 5-0.

In 2007/08 the third place was achieved, in 2008/09 with the eighth place followed Constantin's worst result in the jersey of Rapid. In December 2010 he was transferred to the second team that played in League III . At the end of August 2011 he moved to FC Vaslui . After he hardly got a chance in the first half of the season, he became a regular in the defense in the second half of the 2011/12 season and finished the season with his team as runner-up behind CFR Cluj . He then returned to Rapid Bucharest. From January 2013 to January 2014 he was without a club before returning to FC Brașov. There he came on five missions in the second half of the 2013/14 season . In summer 2014 he moved to ASA Târgu Mureș . After the runner-up in 2015 , he was loaned to Jiangsu Guoxin-Sainty for half a year . There he won the Chinese Cup in autumn 2015 . He returned to ASA in early 2016.

National team

He made his debut in the Romanian national team on February 21, 2004 in a friendly international match against Hungary . The central defender played through and the game in Larnaka on Cyprus could be won 3-0. He played his last of four international matches on August 12, 2009 in a friendly against Hungary .
