Mark Revniaga (born September 28, 1998 in Nahariya ) is an Israeli ice hockey player of Latvian origin who has been under contract with the Northern Colorado Eagles in the Western States Hockey League since 2018. His father Eduard was also an Israeli national ice hockey player.

Career

Mark Revniaga, who comes from the northern Israeli city of Naharija on the Mediterranean Sea, began his career as a hockey player with HC Ma'alot , for whom he made his debut in the Israeli league at the age of 14 . In 2016 he moved to the United States, where he was on the ice for one year each at the Point Mallard Ducks from the third-rate junior league NA3HL and the New York Apple Core from the Eastern Junior Hockey League. Since 2018 he has played for the Northern Colorado Eagles in the Western State Hockey League.

International

In the junior division, Revniaga played for Israel at the U18 World Championships in 2014 , 2015 and 2016 and the U20 World Championships in 2016 , when he and New Zealander Oliver Hay were third-best scorer after his compatriots Roey Aharonovich and Ilya Spektor and second-best goalscorer after Spektor in 2017 and In 2018 , when he was elected the best striker of the tournament and the best player of his team as the top scorer and top scorer and made a significant contribution to the promotion of the Israelis to Division II, both in Division III.

Revniage first played with the men's national team in November 2015 at the qualifying tournament for the 2016 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . He also played in Division II at the 2018 World Cup .
