The MCS or Marketing and Convenience Shop System is a cooperation network of ten independent medium-sized food wholesalers for joint processing of the convenience market. It was founded in 1997 and achieved sales of € 306 million in the year it was founded; in 2010 the group's sales were already € 500 million, in 2013 the group achieved total sales of € 546 million. It is based in Offenburg . The company's managing director is Torsten Eichinger.

The group supplies around 15,000 retail customers ( petrol stations , kiosks , bakeries, grocery stores, canteens, beverage markets , etc.) with sweets , beverages , groceries , tobacco products and ice cream through its regional wholesalers . The headquarters in Offenburg coordinates the supraregional and national activities of the wholesalers via Marketing und Convenience-Shop System GmbH . The focus here is on the areas of marketing , sales , purchasing and system management.

After the market leader Lekkerland , MCS is the most important national food / tobacco system supplier for convenience shops. In addition, the MCS wholesalers act as specialists for the delivery of small-scale grocery stores (local suppliers).

In addition to the pure delivery of food, the MCS wholesalers offer centrally developed sales systems for their retail customers such as "IK-Ihr Kauffmann" (80 outlets) or "Um's Eck" (200 outlets). For convenience shops such as petrol station shops, kiosks or train station shops, MCS offers its retail customers the “shop'n go” concept (20 outlets).
