Markus Bischoff (cook)

Markus Bischoff (born April 3, 1962 in Pforzheim ) is a German chef.

Career

After training as a pastry chef in Pforzheim, Bischoff switched to Franz Keller in Oberbergen as a cook at the Schwarzer Adler inn in 1982 . From 1984 he did two years of military service as a cook in Karlsruhe. In 1986 he went to the Hotel Arlberg Hospiz in St. Christoph am Arlberg in Austria.

In 1987 he moved to the Auberge de l'Ill (three Michelin stars ) to Paul Haeberlin in Illhaeusern in France, in 1988 to the Aubergine restaurant (three Michelin stars) to Eckart Witzigmann in Munich. In 1990 he graduated from the master school in Baden-Baden .

In 1991 he became head chef at the restaurant-hotel Der Leeberghof in Tegernsee . In 1997 he became the owner and head chef of the Leeberghof, which was awarded a Michelin star in 1998. In 2002 he became the owner and head chef of the Hotel Restaurant-Bar Bischoff am See in Tegernsee .

Since the beginning of 2008 he has been head chef at the Dekra Club restaurant in Stuttgart .
