Markus Klaus Schäffauer

Markus Klaus Schäffauer (* 1965 ) is a German Romanist .

Life

From 1984 to 1991 he completed a master's degree in Romance studies, German studies and history at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and at the University of Salamanca (November 1991 Magister Artium: Topic of the master's thesis : The Cervantes reception with Jorge Luis Borges and Miguel de Unamuno ). From 1992 to 1995 he completed a doctorate in Romance Studies (Spanish), Romance Studies (Portuguese) and German Studies (February 1996 PhD phil .: Topic of the doctoral thesis: ScriptOrality in Argentine literature. From 2002 to 2004 he taught Spanish and Portuguese as a visiting professor for media and literary studies at the University of Vienna . From 2004 to 2005 he held a chair at the Romance Department for Spanish and Portuguese at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg im Breisgau . After his habilitation in 2006 with the habilitation thesis : Passages of genres and media in Latin America in the 20th century (reviewer: Walter Bruno Berg; Monika Fludernik ; Wolfgang Raible) he has been teaching at the chair for "Romance Philology / Spanish-Language and Portuguese-Language Literature" since 2006 of the University of Hamburg .
