Markus Lehnigk (born July 21, 1988 in Bad Muskau , GDR ) is a former German ice hockey player who played for 20 years at ES Weißwasser / Lausitzer Füchsen .

Career

Markus Lehnigk began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of the Lausitzer Füchse , for which he was active in the German youth league from 2003 to 2006 . The attacker then made his professional ice hockey debut in the 2006/07 season when he was on the ice in seven games for the Füchse in the 2nd Bundesliga . However, he spent most of the season with a sponsorship license with ELV Niesky in the fourth-class regional league . In the following years, the right-handed shooter earned a regular place in the professional team of Füchse, but also made nine appearances for the regional league team EHC Jonsdorfer Falken in the 2008/09 season .

In 2015 he ended his professional career to concentrate on studying economics .
