Markus Wölbitsch

Markus Wölbitsch (born February 8, 1982 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian management consultant and regional manager of the ÖVP Vienna . Since January 25, 2018, as the successor to Gernot Blümel, he has not been a senior city councilor in the state government and city senate Häupl VI or state government and city senate Ludwig .

Life

The graduation he completed the Neusprachliches school St. Ursula in Vienna. After completing his military service with the Vienna Honor Guard, he studied international business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and at the Stockholm School of Economics . In 2008 he completed the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) and, at the same time, his diploma (degree: Mag.rer.soec.oec.) In Boston he specialized in "Strategic Management" at the Harvard Summer School.

Career

During his studies, Markus Wölbitsch worked at Siemens in Vienna and Munich, among others . In 2008 he moved to the international strategy and communications consultancy Brunswick Group, where he worked as a senior consultant (associate) until 2014. He then worked as a partner at Edelweiß Consulting until 2015, where he was responsible, among other things, for the areas of strategy consulting and participatory organizational development.

Wölbitsch is a trained trainer, moderator and systemic coach for managers. He completed this training at the Political Academy of the ÖVP and at the European Systemic Business Academy.

politics

Wölbitsch began his political career in 2000 as a member of the Young ÖVP . From 2002 to 2005 he was regional manager of the Young ÖVP Vienna and was elected to the district council in Liesing in 2005 . In addition, from 2007 he was district party chairman in Liesing. In 2011 he resigned all of his political offices. On October 22nd, he was unanimously elected regional manager of the ÖVP Vienna. The election to the non-executive city council in the Vienna municipal council and state parliament took place on January 25, 2018.

Private

In his spare time, Wölbitsch is a mountaineer, marathon runner and triathlete.
