Marlos Romero Bonfim (born June 7, 1988 in São José dos Pinhais ), short Marlos , is a Brazilian - Ukrainian soccer player . The attacking midfielder is under contract with Shakhtar Donetsk and is a Ukrainian international .

Career

In his youth Marlos played for Coritiba FC and moved there in 2006 in the squad of the professional team. On May 25, 2008 he made his first game in the top Brazilian division against São Paulo . On June 21, 2008 he scored his first goal in the game against Fluminense Rio de Janeiro . In 2009 he moved to league rivals FC São Paulo before moving to Europe for Metalist Charkiw in 2012 . For the 2014/15 season , Marlos moved to Shakhtar Donetsk .

In 2017, Marlos received Ukrainian citizenship and played his first international match for Ukraine against Kosovo on October 6, 2017 .
