The Marobo is one of the headwaters of the Lóis , the largest river system in East Timor .

The Marobo rises near the place Marobo ( municipality Bobonaro ). The river forms the border between the municipalities of Ermera and Bobonaro for a long distance , first flowing north and then turning east. Finally, Nunura and Marobo meet and eventually form the Lóis.

meaning

Along the Marobo there are mainly rice fields in the administrative offices of Cailaco and Atsabe , which are irrigated by the river. Rice is one of the staple foods of the local population.
