Martin Alexander Becker
Martin Alexander Becker (born September 20, 1987 in Radevormwald ) is a German chess player .
In his youth, Martin Alexander Becker played for Radevormwalder SV in 1925 and later for SG Bochum 31 . With Bochum he became German U20 team champion in Ditzingen in 2003 . In 2005 he moved to the Solingen chess company , for which he plays in the 2nd Bundesliga West and in the 2006/07 season as well as in the 2007/08 season he also played in the German Bundesliga . In Belgium he played for KSK 47 Eynatten from 2006 to 2009 , where he was again active from 2015 to 2017 and was Belgian team champion in 2017 , in France he played for Vandoeuvre-Echecs .
In 2001 he won the North Rhine-Westphalian U14 individual championship in Bergneustadt , and came third in the subsequent German U14 championship in Willingen (Upland) . He also came third at the U16 championship in Willingen in 2003. In the same year, at the age of 15, he won the open championship in Arnhem . At that time he was trained by Martin Senff .
He bears the title of International Master . He already achieved the standards for this in June 2005 at the 1st IM tournament in Absam , in February 2006 in the A group of the festival in Meurthe and in October of the same year at the 22nd European Club Cup in Fügen (Zillertal) , where he took part in the sixth board playing with Solingen. He achieved another IM norm in the 2008/09 season of the German 2nd Bundesliga West . However, since he had not exceeded the Elo limit of 2400 before September 2009, he did not receive the IM title until the 80th FIDE Congress in October 2009. His Elo number is 2373 (as of June 2019), the highest to date Martin Alexander Beckers rating was 2410 from November 2009 to April 2010.
