Martin Breutigam (born July 18, 1965 in Bremen ) is a German chess player and journalist.
Life
Breutigam comes from Bremen and lives in the Bramstedt district of the city of Bassum . His main job is a journalist and also teaches at the private PrinzHöfte school in Bassum. As a chess journalist, Martin Breutigam works regularly for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the Tagesspiegel, among others .

He has held the title of International Master since 2002 .
He played club chess for the Delmenhorster Chess Club , Lasker Steglitz and the Bremen Chess Society from 1877 . From 2006 to 2008 he played for the second team of Hamburger SK . In all of these clubs he was also used in the German Federal Chess League. He has been playing for SK Union Oldenburg since 2008 .
