Martin David (bishop)
Martin David (born August 15, 1970 in Čeladná , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Ostrau-Troppau .
Life
Martin David received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Ostrava-Troppau on June 24, 2000 through Bishop František Václav Lobkowicz . David has been Vicar General of the Ostrava-Troppau diocese since 2008 .
On April 7, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Thucca in Numidia and auxiliary bishop in Ostrava-Troppau. The bishop of Ostrava-Troppau, František Václav Lobkowicz, donated him episcopal ordination on May 28 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Olomouc , Jan Graubner , and the Bishop of Brno , Vojtěch Cikrle .
On June 1, 2020, Martin David was also appointed Apostolic Administrator sede plena of the Ostrava-Troppau diocese.
