Martin Dohlsten (born April 29, 1986 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish football player . The son of the actor and director Ulf Dohlsten made it to the Allsvenskan with GAIS and Örgryte IS and played briefly in Iceland.
Career
Dohlsten started at Skogens IF in his youth . There he was noticed by those responsible for the Swedish Football Association and Hans Lindbom appointed him three times in the Swedish U-15 team in 2001. In 2003 he moved to GAIS in the third class Division 2 . In his first season he was able to contribute to promotion to the Superettan with two goals in five games . In the following two seasons he was used a total of 18 times in the second division. At the end of the second division season in 2005 , he achieved promotion to the top class with the team. Again, he was mainly used as a substitute in two seasons.
In 2008 Dohlsten moved back to the Superettan and joined Örgryte IS. There he signed a two-year contract. At first he was able to establish himself as a regular in the midfield of the Gothenburg club. In the second half of the season, however, he lost his regular place, but was able to celebrate promotion to the Allsvenskan at the end of the season after 22 season appearances. Here he came to the side of Marcus Allbäck , Björn Anklev and Álvaro Santos mainly on short appearances as a substitute. After eleven first division appearances, he rose at the end of the season with the club in the second division, whereupon he left the club.
Without a club for a short time, Dohlsten signed at the end of March 2010 with the second division club Ljungskile SK , where he had participated in preparation as a guest player from February, a contract valid until the summer of that year. During this time he played ten league games. He then joined the Icelandic club UMF Selfoss in the Pepsideild , but after the club's relegation from the top division at the end of the year he was again without a contract. At the end of July 2011, the amateur club Utsiktens BK finally announced the commitment of the former first division player. With the team he rose to the side of Anton Hysén at the end of the year in the third-class Division 1 .
