Martin Guzík (born April 7, 1974 ) is a former Czech football player .

Career

In his homeland, the young striker initially played for the first division club SK České Budějovice . The first season of the independent Czech league in 1993/94 ended Guzík with his club and teammates like Karel Poborský and Karel Vácha surprisingly in sixth place in the table. For the 1994/95 season, the 30-time junior international moved to league rivals SK Sigma Olomouc . From the European Cup participant from Olomouc , Martin Guzík then moved to Germany in the summer of 1996 and joined 1. FC Bocholt , who played in the third-class Regionalliga West / Südwest . After the club's relegation in 1997, Guzik moved to the Swiss first division club FC Zurich . This was followed by short club stops at FC Baden , FC Schaffhausen and FC Chiasso . In the 1999/2000 season - back in Germany - Martin Guzik moved to the Regionalliga West / Südwest at KFC Uerdingen 05 . In 2000/01 he played for Alemannia Aachen in the second division . In 2003 Guzik moved back to his Czech homeland and played in the third-class MSF league for HFK Olomouc and for SK Hanácká Slavia Kroměříž and FK Humpolec .
