Martin Haas (moderator)
Martin Haas (born December 25, 1962 in Aalen ; † March 26, 2018 in Munich ) was a German journalist and television presenter .
life and career
Haas grew up in the Aalen district of Wasseralfingen and graduated from high school there. After studying in Munich , he first worked for the television station CBS in Miami and for Tele 5 in Munich. In the following years he worked for the private broadcaster ProSieben as head of the service in the news department and produced articles for kabel eins . Since 1991 he has been the anchorman of Sat.1 Nachrichten on Sat.1 breakfast television and has become the longest- serving presenter of the station over the years. From March 2008 he spoke the news on the Bavarian private radio station Antenne Bayern in his Sat.1-free time .
Haas died of sudden heart failure on March 26, 2018, at the age of 55 .
