Martin Majnovics (born October 26, 2000 in Sopron ) is a Hungarian football player .

Career

Majnovics started his career at SC Sopron . In January 2014 he moved to Austria to join the youth team at SV Mattersburg . For the 2014/15 season he came to AKA Burgenland , where he went through all age groups until 2018.

In May 2017 he made his debut against SV St. Margarethen for the amateurs of his regular Mattersburg club in the fourth-class Burgenland League . By the end of the season he made three appearances for Mattersburg II. In the 2017/18 season he was used seven times in the Burgenland League. With the Mattersburger amateurs he was able to rise to the end of the season as a champion in the regional league. He made his debut in the third highest division in August 2018 against SV Leobendorf . In September 2018 he scored his first third division goal in a 3-0 penalty-verified defeat of Mattersburg against the amateurs of SKN St. Pölten . By the end of the season he came to 23 missions in which he scored two goals.

In June 2020 he was against SKN St. Pölten for the first time in the squad of the professionals of the Burgenland. In the same month he finally made his debut in the Bundesliga when he came on as a substitute for Michael Lercher on matchday 29 of the 2019/20 season against SCR Altach in the 78th minute . Mattersburg stopped playing after the 2019/20 season.

National team

Majnovics made his debut for the Hungarian U-17 selection in 2016 . With this he also took part in the European Championships in 2017 , where he failed with the Hungarians in the quarter-finals against Turkey . Majnovics was used in all four games in his country during the tournament. In September 2017 he was first used for the U-19 team .

He made his debut for the U-21 team against Croatia in October 2019 .
