Martin Maria Schwarz (* 1963 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German radio presenter , speaker and author .

Schwarz grew up in Kelkheim im Taunus. He attended the Bischof Neumann School in Königstein im Taunus . After graduating from high school, he initially trained as a hotel clerk. He then studied German , Romance studies and art history in Mainz , Marburg and Bordeaux .
Professional background
After completing his studies, Martin Maria Schwarz began a journalistic career, initially as a freelancer for small radio stations. He completed his speaker training at the German hearing library for the blind in Marburg in the early 1990s. During this time, Schwarz u. a. also with a cabaret ensemble and gave recitation evenings. This became a stepping stone for him to radio, where he has been working as an author, editor, speaker and presenter in the culture department of Hessischer Rundfunk since 1997. In the current information program, he is responsible for the subject of "Wine and Enjoyment". He describes himself as a "gourmet analyst".
He writes as a freelance writer a. a. for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung and published essays in Cotta's Culinary Almanac 2005 and 2006. He is also the editor and author of several audio books on football history as well as the audio book project “Welt der Weinsorten” and worked on the audio documentation “Twelve Years - Hitler and his Reich " With.
He has spoken for more than two dozen very successful audio books for the Belterhausen audio book publisher and Hoffmann und Campe , but he has also written and produced some of his own, including several thrillers by Agatha Christie , thrillers such as “Feindlichehaben” and “Das Programm” by Michael Ridpath and novels by Jules Verne . His version of Verne's Around the World in 80 Days was voted the best children's and young adult audiobook in January 1998 by an independent team of judges.
Together with his HR colleague Ulrich Sonnenschein, he has published a series on Hessian regional studies and regional history at Jonas Verlag Marburg. In 2002 it was voted " Hessen Book of the Year" by the Hessen State Association of the German Book Trade Association. In 2006, together with Sonnenschein, Schwarz released the CD “I have finished. The best sayings of football in the original sound ”in the Hörverlag .
