Martin Vögeli (born July 9, 1995 ) is a Liechtenstein cross-country skier .

Career

Vögeli, who starts for the Nordic Club Liechtenstein, made his first international appearance at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck . There he finished 39th in the sprint and 31st place over 10 km classic. The following year, at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Predeal, he came in 55th place in sprint, 41st place over 7.5 km classic and 29th place over 10 km freestyle. At the Junior World Championships 2015 in Almaty , he achieved 65th place in the 10 km freestyle and 39th place in the skiathlon . In December 2015 he started in Prémanon for the first time in the Alpencup and finished 38th in the 15 km freestyle. At the U23 World Championships in 2016 in Râşnov he ran on 58th place over 15 km classic, 47th place in sprint and 46th place over 15 km freestyle and at the U23 World Championships 2017 in Soldier Hollow on 44 Place in the sprint, on the 30th place in the skiathlon and on the 28th place over 15 km freestyle. He completed his first World Cup race in December 2017 in Davos , which he finished in 93rd place over 15 km freestyle. At the U23 World Championships in Goms in 2018 , he finished 38th over 15 km classic and 28th place in the skiathlon. In February 2018 he ran at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang to 59th place in the skiathlon and 52nd place in the 15 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , he finished 63rd over 15 km classic, 60th place in the 50 km mass start race and 24th place together with Michael Biedermann in the team sprint.
