Martin Winbolt-Lewis
Martin Winbolt-Lewis ( Martin John Winbolt-Lewis; born November 14, 1946 in Haslemere , Surrey ) is a former British sprinter and middle-distance runner .
In 1966 he was sixth over 440 yards at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston and won bronze with the English four-by-440-yard relay. At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest he was eliminated from the 400 m semi-finals and was fifth with the British team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
At the Olympic Games in Mexico City in 1968, he reached the quarter-finals over 400 m and was fifth in the 4-by-400-meter relay .
The following year he was eliminated again in the semifinals at the European Championship in Athens in 1969 over 400 m and was sixth with the British 4 x 400 meter relay.
In 1970 he finished seventh in the 800m at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and took silver at the Universiade .
In 1968 he became English champion over 440 yards.
