Johannes Martinus "Martin" van der Horst (born April 2, 1965 in Heemskerk ) is a former Dutch volleyball player .

Martin van der Horst, with a height of 2.14 meters at the time the biggest Bundesliga player in the early 1990s, played in the position of a middle blocker. In the 1990s he was a member of the ASV Dachau team and was German champion in 1995 and 1996 under coach Stelian Moculescu and DVV cup winner in 1997 . He was a member of the Dutch national team and won silver for the Netherlands in Barcelona at the 1992 Olympic Games when they lost 3-0 to Brazil in the final . At the Games in 2000 he was again part of the Dutch selection, this time finishing fifth in Sydney. In 1991 and 2000 he was named the best blocker in the volleyball world league .
